The Bromance Book Club

by: Lyssa Kay

This is a pretty funny book. It is a really nice story and you really get to love all the members of "The Bromance Book Club", they’re so damn cute, it melts your heart to see how they give everything to try to win over they’re wifes/girlfriends

If you are looking for a fun book without much drama, and without being cliche this is the book for you.

Note: It does not reach the 5 complete avocados because I feel that Thea exaggerates and makes the story a little too dramatic

Here is a brief review:

"Nashville Legends second baseman Gavin Scott's marriage is in major league trouble. He’s recently discovered a humiliating secret: his wife Thea has always faked the Big O. When he loses his cool at the revelation, it’s the final straw on their already strained relationship. Thea asks for a divorce, and Gavin realizes he’s let his pride and fear get the better of him.

Welcome to the Bromance Book Club.

Distraught and desperate, Gavin finds help from an unlikely source: a secret romance book club made up of Nashville's top alpha men. With the help of their current read, a steamy Regency titledCourting the Countess, the guys coach Gavin on saving his marriage. Undercover Bromance

by: Lyssa Kay

I also read the second book of this saga.

Being honest, I prefer the first book more than this one, and I will tell you why.

First of all, I don't really like Liv, I feel like she's a little bit selfish. She is a little bit like her sister Thea, but Liv exaggerates things to another level. Secondly, I'm not such really big fan of Mack, because he is very self centered and makes a big deal of his "secret from the past"

This book will definitely not full fill your usual love ideal.

Okay, the part that I liked about the book is that it shows femenine empowerment.

Also it shows how women suffer from harassment by their bosses and how it is not so easy to overcome.

Note: I really love "the Russian", for me, he is the best character of this saga.

Here is a brief review:

"Liv Papandreas has a dream job as a sous chef at Nashville’s hottest restaurant. Too bad the celebrity chef owner is less than charming behind kitchen doors. After she catches him harassing a young hostess, she confronts him and gets fired. Liv vows revenge, but she’ll need assistance to take on the powerful chef.

Unfortunately, that means turning to Braden Mack. When Liv’s blackballed from the restaurant scene, the charismatic nightclub entrepreneur offers to help expose her ex-boss, but she is suspicious of his motives. He’ll need to call in reinforcements: the Bromance Book Club.

Inspired by the romantic suspense novel they’re reading, the book club assists Liv in setting up a sting operation to take down the chef. But they’re just as eager to help Mack figure out the way to Liv’s heart... even though she’s determined to squelch the sparks between them before she gets burned."

Faking Under the Mistletoe

This is the ideal book to read during Christmas. It puts you in a festive mood and makes you feel like going out and seeing life with happiness and urges your needs to bake gingerbread cookies with your family. It's an entertaining and light book. It has the ideal dose of drama and romance so you're happy and your heart does not suffer in the process.

The only thing I didn´t like it was the love relationship of Olivia and Asher, I don't feel it was a relationship worthy of fireworks,

There were moments where I got a little bored with their relationship.

I was left unsatisfied wanting more romance.

Note: With this book you really want to get a Christmas sweater and eat cookies with a cup of hot chocolate, so I recommend that you save a little money.

Here is a brief review:

"Olivia Langley is the human embodiment of Christmas cheer, and she has absolutely no problem spreading it around for all to hear.

Christmas sweaters? She has twenty. Christmas cookies? She’ll take three dozen. Christmas movies? Yeah, she’s seen them all.

So it’s no surprise when she’s put in charge of Loveridge & McGowan’s holiday festivities. Secret Santas? Yep. Ice skating? Of course. Holiday trivia? Duh. Christmas-themed bar crawl? That’s one big jingle bell hell yes.

Kissing her boss at a Christmas tree lighting in front of his ex-girlfriend? Well… it is the season of giving.

And Olivia does not come with a gift receipt. No exchanges. No returns. No refunds. All sales are final.

In an effort to ungrinch the grinchiest man she’s ever met, Olivia enlists herself, Santa’s Executive Helper, to scheme up a plan that includes sleigh rides, snow days, and one too many mistletoe kisses, which certainly gets Asher’s tinsel in a tangle.

She’s pretty sure that she sleighed this whole fake dating thing.

Well… until she realizes there’s nothing fake about her feelings for Asher, and suddenly tangled tinsel, unsolicited Christmas trees, and celebrity heartthrobs are the least of her worries."

Marriage on Madison Avenue

I don't know why, but I love reading those moments where the characters who were once just friends realize they are in love and decide to give it a chance.

When I started reading this book I was very excited, and when I read the first chapters I was sure it was going to be a perfect book. Unfortunately, it wasn´t. Don't get me wrong, I liked the book, it is light and fun, it has its moments of romance, buuuut, it is very predictable and the "problem" there is a bit silly. On the subject of love, I was not completely satisfied.

Note: After you read this book you'll want to be an instagram influencer.

Here is a brief review:

"Can guys and girls ever be just friends? According to Audrey Tate and Clarke West, absolutely. After all, they’ve been best friends since childhood without a single romantic entanglement. Clarke is the charming playboy Audrey can always count on, and he knows that the ever-loyal Audrey will nevernotplay along with his strategy for dodging his matchmaking mother—announcing he’s already engaged…to Audrey.

But what starts out as a playful game between two best friends turns into something infinitely more complicated, as just-for-show kisses begin to stir up forbidden feelings. As the faux wedding date looms closer, Audrey and Clarke realize that they can never go back to the way things were, but deep down, do they really want to?"

Going the Distance

Obviously you’ve already watched “The Kissing Booth” movie, it’s impossible that you haven’t. We all have a crush on Noah and in this book your love for him increases.

This book narrates the long distance relationship between Elle and Noah, and all the the obstacles they have to overcome.

It also shows Elle's frustration about the decisions she needs to make about her future, whether she wants to go to college or not, what career she want to study ... you know, the questions we the teens ask ourselves.

It is a light and funny book, it’s perfect for summer reading.

The only thing I didn't like about the book was that Elle depended a lot on her relationship with Lee, that she won't let him be happy with his life.

There are 3 books in this saga, if you want to read them, I’ll leave the link below.

Note: We all need a best friend like Lee.

Here is a brief review:

"Elle Evans seems to have finally tamed hotter-than-hot bad boy Noah Flynn, but now they're facing a new challenge. Noah's 3,000 miles away at Harvard, which means they're officially a long-distance couple - and it's tough. After all, there's only so much texts and calls can satisfy - and when Elle sees a post which suggests Noah's getting friendly with someone else, she's devastated.

On top of that, it's hard to ignore new boy Levi. He's gentle, sweet, cute - and definitely interested in Elle.

With her heart on the line, what's a girl to do?

Join Elle, Noah, Lee and all your favourite Kissing Booth characters for another amazing romantic story that's sure to have you swooning. "

Tweet Cute.

by: Emma Lord

This was actually a big surprise, because at the beginning, when reading the review I was not 100% convinced that it would be a good book, but I decided to give it a shot and the truth is that I was quite satisfied with my decision.

It is quite a fun book without much drama. It is easy to read and leaves you feeling happy. The love relationship between the characters is very cute and funny.

It does not reach the 5 avocados because it is not a book that leaves you sighing with love, but if you want a light book for the holidays and a good laugh, I highly recommend this book

Note: While reading this book you feel like eating a cheese sandwich, so I recommend you go to the supermarket for the ingredients to make yourself one.

Here is a brief review:

"Meet Pepper, swim team captain, chronic overachiever, and all-around perfectionist. Her family may be falling apart, but their massive fast-food chain is booming ― mainly thanks to Pepper, who is barely managing to juggle real life while secretly running Big League Burger’s massive Twitter account.

Enter Jack, class clown and constant thorn in Pepper’s side. When he isn’t trying to duck out of his obscenely popular twin’s shadow, he’s busy working in his family’s deli. His relationship with the business that holds his future might be love/hate, but when Big League Burger steals his grandma’s iconic grilled cheese recipe, he’ll do whatever it takes to take them down, one tweet at a time.

All’s fair in love and cheese ― that is, until Pepper and Jack’s spat turns into a viral Twitter war. Little do they know, while they’re publicly duking it out with snarky memes and retweet battles, they’re also falling for each other in real life ― on an anonymous chat app Jack built.

As their relationship deepens and their online shenanigans escalate ―people on the internet are shipping them??― their battle gets more and more personal, until even these two rivals can’t ignore they were destined for the most unexpected, awkward, all-the-feels romance that neither of them expected."

Imagine Me

This review is quite difficult to write. How do I explain that my heart was broken into a thousand pieces by the disappointment of this book.

I was waiting a year for this book and when I finally had it in my hands I thought it would be the best ending in the world of sagas.

I got really mad at Tahereh for giving me a mediocre ending.

You may feel my anger through my review, because I am very angry and disappointed. The end of the fifth book was so beautiful that I thought this book would be twice as beautiful, but it turned out not.

I feel that the author ran out of ideas and just wanted to end this saga. It didn't feel as magical as the other books.

The characters were not the same, I felt that the book was very fast, everything happened in a very abrupt way and the end was so unexciting and pasionless that I didn't think it would end like this.

I am very angry because this book ruined one of my favorite sagas and deserved an epic ending.

I think the only thing that saved this book was Kenji and seeing Warner suffering over his love for Juliette

This book left me wanting much more.

Note: You may want to hit someone because of the anger of reading it, so I recommend you grab a pillow and release your anger by hitting the pillow.

Note #2: Seriously, wtf with Anderson.

Note#3: This book does not deserve the 4.5 avocado rating but because of my love for the saga I’ll still give it.

Here is a brief review:

"Juliette Ferrars.

Ella Sommers.

Which is the truth and which is the lie?

Now that Ella knows who Juliette is and what she was created for, things have only become more complicated. As she struggles to understand the past that haunts her and looks to a future more uncertain than ever, the lines between right and wrong—between Ella and Juliette—blur. And with old enemies looming, her destiny may not be her own to control.

The day of reckoning for the Reestablishment is coming. But she may not get to choose what side she fights on."

Wasted Words

I was looking for a cliche book (admit it, we all love a little cliche romance to brighten our hearts)

And this book satisfied me with my wishes for a typical romance.

This book is about the typical story of the nerdy girl who falls in love with the sporty and handsome boy.

It has its romantic moments and is fun and light to read. I didn't really like that Cam was so insecure about their relationship, there are many chapters, more than necessary, about how Cam doubts herself and doesn't want to fall in love.

Cam and Tyler's relationship is very cute and makes you want to have a relationship as fun and lovely as theirs.

I also liked that it is one of those relationships that best friends become a couple.

The ending is fun and leaves you happy.

Note: I love the cafe where Cam works, it is my frustrated dream to be able to work there.

Note #2: It made me want to be friends with Cam so that she could find my soulmate

Here is a brief review:

"Some universal truths refuse to be ignored.

Peanut butter and jelly are a match made in heaven. Spaghetti and meatball are best friends forever. And guys like Tyler Knight don’t go for girls like Cam Emerson.

She knew from the second she met him that he didn’t belong on her bookshelf, the six-foot-six ex-tight end with a face so all-American, it could have sold apple pie. So she shelved him next to the supermodels and rock stars and took her place on her own shelf — the one with the flannel-clad, pasty-faced comic book nerds. Most of her boyfriends have existed between the pages of books, but rather than worrying over her own lacking love life, she puts all her energy into playing Cupid, using her job at the book bar, Wasted Words, as her stomping ground.

Tyler Knight always looks on the bright side. His career-ending injury turned into a job as a sports agent. A horrible breakup led him to Cam, his quirky, smart roommate who is far more beautiful than she realizes. She’s made it perfectly clear she’s not interested in him — not like that at least — but if she ever changes her mind, he won’t hesitate. Because he doesn’t see the lines she’s drawn between them, as much as she insists that they’re there. Deep down he knows that despite their differences, they’re a match well made."

Love Notes

Okay, in this series there are 4 books, and I read the first one, then I read the reviews of the others and this was the one that caught my attention the most. It was a good book, enjoyable and light, with its romantic moments and definitely seeing Greg (the bad boy with tattoos) falling in love with Annie, it really made my heart happy.

To be honest, this book was also a bit of a cliche, as I read it I couldn't stop thinking about how similar it is with the movie "A walk to remember", you know, sweet girl who has a disease and has a wish list and the bad boy decides to help her and they end up falling in love.

I definitely enjoyed watching Greg try to win her over. (He is so damn cute).

What I didn't really enjoy was that Annie was a little naive towards life, but I can't blame her, the poor thing has suffered a lot.I was not a big fan of Will's appearance either, I feel like he took more chapters than necessary. I didn't feel that his presence in the book was essential.

Note: This book made me think that perhaps my ideal type of man is a hot guy with tattoos and that he reads romance books. I wish there was a boy like him in real life :( Note #2: I also realized that I may be a little jealous of Annie, she lives in NY, she has the best job in the world and she has handsome and perfect Greg by her side. (God if you are reading this, please let my life be like hers. thanks.)

Here is a brief review:

" When Annie Daschle arrives in New York City, the only thing she can control is her list.

Not her father’s death or the loss of her home. Not the hole in her heart or the defective valve that’s dictated so much of her life. But she can put pen to paper to make a list of all the ways she can live out loud, just like her dad would have wanted.

See the city from the top of the Empire State Building: Check.

Eat hot dogs on the steps of The Met: Check.

Get a job at Wasted Words: Check.

What wasn’t on her list: Greg Brandon. And just when she thinks she’s figured out where to put him, everything changes. In the span of a few staggering heartbeats, she finds herself her caught in the middle of something she can’t find her way out of, with no clear answers and no rules.

List or no list, she realizes she can’t control anything at all, not even her heart.

Not the decisions it makes, and not the moment it stops"

In Five Years

I knew I had to read this book because of its cover. I know that many people say "Do not judge a book by its cover" but I always look at the cover and it serves me as a determining factor to decide whether or not I want to read it, before reading the review.

This book was definitely something different. When I read the review, I was expecting something very different from what really happened when I read the book. That doesn't mean I'm disappointed. I really liked this book. They talk about topics like true friendship, the difference between loving and being in love with someone and grief.

As you read this book, it may seem a bit long and tedious, but I swear to you that in the last chapters everything becomes so chaotic, the tears do not seem to stop and the end is perfect. This is not one of those stories where everyone has a happy ending and lives happily ever after, I feel this is a more real book and that is why I love it.

Note: I really need a friendship like Dannie and Bella, it's so beautiful.

Note #2: You may need a box of kleenex.

Here is a brief review:

"Where do you see yourself in five years?

When Type-A Manhattan lawyer Dannie Cohan is asked this question at the most important interview of her career, she has a meticulously crafted answer at the ready. Later, after nailing her interview and accepting her boyfriend's marriage proposal, Dannie goes to sleep knowing she is right on track to achieve her five-year plan.

But when she wakes up, she’s suddenly in a different apartment, with a different ring on her finger, and beside a very different man. The television news is on in the background, and she can just make out the scrolling date. It’s the same night—December 15—but 2025, five years in the future.

After a very intense, shocking hour, Dannie wakes again, at the brink of midnight, back in 2020. She can’t shake what has happened. It certainly felt much more than merely a dream, but she isn’t the kind of person who believes in visions. That nonsense is only charming coming from free-spirited types, like her lifelong best friend, Bella. Determined to ignore the odd experience, she files it away in the back of her mind.

That is, until four-and-a-half years later, when by chance Dannie meets the very same man from her long-ago vision.

Brimming with joy and heartbreak,In Five Yearsis an unforgettable love story that reminds us of the power of loyalty, friendship, and the unpredictable nature of destiny."

Wild at Heart.

Sooo, this book disappointed me a lot. I really liked the first book, "The Simple Wild" and I was very excited to read the second in the series.

To be honest, I only finished the book for commitment, because I don't like leaving the books unfinished, but it was not a book that I truly enjoyed.

I don't know why, but the book felt a bit depressing, on one hand I understand that Calla had to sacrifice a large part of her life and that she had to adapt to a totally different lifestyle, but I feel that from the beginning she was very pessimistic and it was a little exhausting to see how she complained about everything. I also did not like that Jonah was not entirely supportive of her, I feel that he became a little selfish. I also expected more from Wasilla, (the city where Calla and Jonah live) I feel that it would have been cooler than K.A. Tucker put Wasilla with more dynamic and funny characters, I feel that it made the city boring and sad.

The whole book wasn't bad, but I had high expectations for this book and it didn't meet them.

Note: This book made me realize that it would be cool to go to Alaska for vacation, but it definitely didn't make me want to live in Alaska. (Unless there's a Jonah waiting, then maybe yes)

Here is a brief review:

"Calla Fletcher returns to Toronto a different person, struggling to find direction and still very much in love with the rugged bush pilot she left behind. When Jonah arrives on her doorstep with a proposition she can’t dismiss, she takes the leap and rushes back to Alaska to begin their exciting future together.

But Calla soon learns that even the best intentions can lead to broken promises, and that compromise comes with a hefty price—a log cabin in interior rural Alaska that feels as isolating as the western tundra.

With Jonah gone more than he’s home, one neighbor who insists on transforming her into a true Alaskan, and another who seems more likely to shoot her than come to her aid, Calla grapples with forging her own path. In a world with roaming wildlife that has her constantly watching over her shoulder and harsh conditions that stretch far beyond the cold, dark, winter months, just stepping outside her front door can be daunting.

This is not the future Calla had in mind, leaving her to fear that perhaps she is doomed to follow in her mother’s fleeing footsteps after all."

The Two Lives of Lydia Bird.

I really liked this book, it was something different from what I normally read and I quite like to change my course a bit.

I feel that this book was realistic and talks about a subject I haven't read much about: grief.

I liked the fictional part of the book, (Lydia's dreams) it was something unexpected and when reading the chapters when Lydia has those dreams, one as a reader does not know whether to cry or laugh.I feel that the detail of implementing the dreams made this book special and gives you the opportunity to know what Lydia's life with Freddie used to be.

I feel like the author handled Lydia's character well, her emotions made sense and I feel as you read the book you want to hug Lydia and tell her that everything is going to get better. The plot is good and you can't be happy until you finish the book.

If you are looking for a romantic book where everyone is happy and you don't cry, this book is not the one. If you want a realistic and special book, this is the one.

Note: In this book you'll get a few tears, so have some kleenex on hand. You'll also crave some biscuits, so buy some for you to eat while reading the book.

Here is a brief review:

"Lydia and Freddie. Freddie and Lydia. They'd been together for more than a decade, and Lydia thought their love was indestructible.

But she was wrong. On her twenty-eighth birthday, Freddie died in a car accident.

So now it's just Lydia, and all she wants to do is hide indoors and sob until her eyes fall out. But Lydia knows that Freddie would want her to try to live fully, happily, even without him. So, enlisting the help of his best friend, Jonah, and her sister, Elle, she takes her first tentative steps into the world, open to life--and perhaps even love--again.

But then something inexplicable happens that gives her another chance at her old life with Freddie. A life where none of the tragic events of the past few months have happened.

Lydia is pulled again and again across the doorway of her past, living two lives, impossibly, at once. But there's an emotional toll to returning to a world where Freddie, alive, still owns her heart. Because there's someone in her new life, her real life, who wants her to stay."

The Summer of Chasing Mermaids.

I'm not really sure how to start this review, on the one hand I liked the book, but on the other hand, I didn't like it.

The part that I liked was seeing Elyse and Christian's determination towards the competition they had. I also loved Sebastian and saw how he admired mermaids and how he did not give up, how he did not pay attention to the prejudices that people imposed on him, especially his father.

The part I didn't like was that Elyse became so obsessed with what happened to her, I feel like she fussed a lot about it. It is an entertaining book, it has its romantic moments and the way it is written is a bit poetic and that detail made me like it a little more.

Note: We all need a Sebastian in our lives. He is one of the few characters that has a special place in my heart.

Here is a brief review:

"Elyse d’Abreau was destined for stardom… until a boating accident took everything from her. Now, the world’s most beautiful Soca singer can’t sing. She can’t even speak.

Christian Kane is a notorious playboy—insolent, arrogant, and completely charming. He’s also the first person since the accident who doesn’t treat Elyse like a glass statue.

When a high-stakes regatta brings them together in the quaint seaside town of Atargatis Cove, Oregon, it’s not long before Elyse is swept up in Christian’s seductive tide. But when it comes to love, can the girl without a voice open her heart to the boy best known for breaking them?"

Chain of Gold.

This is the most recent book I have read in the entire Shadowhunter saga. I love every mini saga and this book was no exception.

I loved the first book of this mini saga, I fell in love with almost every character and the plot was quite good.

In this book there are characters that are mentioned in previous sagas, but this book is about new characters. In my opinion, it is not entirely necessary to read all the other books in the saga to read this one, but I liked the fact that characters I was already familiar with were mentioned and was happy to read that they were involved again. The story is new and if you're a fan of fiction, and a special romance, I highly recommend this book.

Note: If you want to create a fan club I am more than ready to join.

The Best Laid Plans.

Okay, reading the review for this book, I was really excited because, as you know, I love stories where best friends fall in love. But, unfortunately, this book did not leave me entirely happy. I feel like it was missing a bit of romance and the story was a little boring and predictable. I did not get to love the characters and I would have liked there to have been more romantic moments.

Something that I liked, was that Keely will show her fear and insecurities in the situation she wants to face, I feel that all girls come to feel that fear and I liked reading about a character that shows her most realistic personality, that shows that not everything is easy and that there isn't always a happy ending. I really liked being able to relate my insecurities to Keely.

It was not a bad book, it entertained me and I finished it in a couple of days, it was easy to read. If you are looking for an entertaining book with a romantic touch, I recommend this book

Note: With this book you will want to watch classic movies and eat pizza.

Here is a brief review:

"It seemed like a good plan at first.

When the only other virgin in her group of friends loses it at Keely's own eighteenth birthday party, she's inspired to take things into her own hands. She wants to have that experience too (well, not exactly like that--but with someone she trusts and actually likes), so she's going to need to find the guy, and fast. Problem is, she's known all the boys in her small high school forever, and it's kinda hard to be into a guy when you watched him eat crayons in kindergarten.

So she can't believe her luck when she meets a ridiculously hot new guy named Dean. Not only does he look like he's fallen out of a classic movie poster, but he drives a motorcycle, flirts with ease, and might actually be into her.

But Dean's already in college, and Keely is convinced he'll drop her if he finds out how inexperienced she is. That's when she talks herself into a new plan: her lifelong best friend, Andrew, would never hurt or betray her, and he's clearly been with enough girls that he can show her the ropes before she goes all the way with Dean. Of course, the plan only works if Andrew and Keely stay friends--just friends--so things are about to get complicated.

Cameron Lund's delightful debut is a hilarious and heartfelt story of first loves, first friends, and first times--and how making them your own is all that really matters."

Remember Me?

This book was recommended to me by a very dear friend and I really enjoyed this book a lot. It has a very good balance between fictional and realistic. I loved the story and it did keep me with the anguish of knowing what was happening. I didn't feel it was a predictable book, the truth is that each chapter I discovered something new about Lexi. In the same way, I felt that Lexi was a realistic and very funny character, I enjoyed seeing how she changed and did not stay with a sad life.

In truth I highly recommend this book, it is quite entertaining and no chapter bored me.

Note: I wish I had a glow up like Lexi's, I guess I'll have to jump off some stairs.Just kidding.

Here is a brief review:

"When twenty-eight-year-old Lexi Smart wakes up in a London hospital, she’s in for a big surprise. Her teeth are perfect. Her body is toned. Her handbag is Vuitton. Having survived a car accident—in a Mercedes no less—Lexi has lost a big chunk of her memory, three years to be exact, and she’s about to find out just how much things have changed.

Somehow Lexi went from a twenty-five-year-old working girl to a corporate big shot with a sleek new loft, a personal assistant, a carb-free diet, and a set of glamorous new friends. And who is this gorgeous husband—who also happens to be a multimillionaire? With her mind still stuck three years in reverse, Lexi greets this brave new world determined to be the person she…well, seems to be. That is, until an adorably disheveled architect drops the biggest bombshell of all.

Suddenly Lexi is scrambling to catch her balance. Her new life, it turns out, comes complete with secrets, schemes, and intrigue. How on earth did all this happen? Will she ever remember? And what will happen when she does?"

The Honeymooner.

I read this book on vacation and it was perfect for the occasion.I feel it was a very fun book and there were parts where I laughed a lot. To me, the romantic relationship of the characters was very sweet. It was a little bit predictable, but the ending made me very happy.I grew to love the characters and it was an easy book to read, I finished it in a few days.I love that the author created a whole world for history, shows a map of the island and shows the wedding invitations and everything, I loved those details.I liked all the characters and the plot was entertaining. I highly recommend this book for the summer. Harrison earned a place in my category of literary boyfriends.

Note: With this book I wanted to grab all my things and go on vacation to an island. Too bad I have no money and I'm afraid that an animal on the island will eat me :(

Here is a brief review:

But ten minutes before the wedding, her dreams dissolve via text message.

Devastated and humiliated, Libby escapes to Paradise Bay alone. Unfortunately, when she arrives, she discovers that tall, dark, and built, Harrison is not about to make anything easy for her.

Instead, he derails her plans while at the same time, bringing out a side of Libby she’s kept carefully tucked away—a carefree, adrenaline junkie. After a few days together, Harrison’s got her wondering if the life she always wanted was meant for some other girl. Suddenly, Libby must decide which version of herself she wants to be.

Whisked Away.

Realizing that there was a second book in the Paradise Bay saga, I had no hesitation in reading it. Being completely honest, I enjoyed the previous book a little more, I feel that the romantic relationship of Libby and Harrison was more cute than the relationship of Emma and Pierce.I did not get to love Pierce and in some chapters I get a little stressed by Emma. It was not that I did not enjoy the book, only that I had high expectations for this book and they were not quite reached. It was an easy book to read and had its entertaining parts.I loved that they showed part of the relationship between Libby and Harrison, I was really happy to read about their life again. This is an ideal book to read in summer, on a cot and with a pina colada in hand.I liked the end a lot and it made me laugh.

Note: With this book I wanted to look for writers to see if they were as handsome as Pierce. It would be the perfect combination, writers and hot.

Here is a brief review:

"At twenty-seven years old, Emma Banks has big plans for her life. After graduating from the prestigious Culinary Institute of America, she's ready to take her place as head chef at one of her family’s resort restaurants. But upon arrival at Paradise Bay, she’s shuffled off to the resort’s new private island getaway, where she’ll be stuck catering to the rich and shameless. Her first assignment is to serve Pierce Davenport, an infuriatingly arrogant writer with a palate that’s about as adventurous as a plain boiled potato.

Pierce Davenport is living every author’s dream—his critically-acclaimed Clash of Crowns books have been turned into one of the world’s most-watched television series. The only problem is, he has no idea how to end the epic fantasy tale. After two long years, his fans are turning on him, his publisher is panicking, and the network executives have announced they’re hiring a team of scriptwriters to finish (a.k.a. ruin) his legacy for him.

In dire need of solitude, he escapes to the Island of Eden for two distraction-free months so he can pull off the impossible—write an entire novel from start to finish. All he wants is peace and quiet, but when disaster strikes, he’s forced to rely on irritating-but-beautiful Emma to deliver more than just three meals a day.

Putting Pierce and Emma together is like combining orange juice and toothpaste. Will their differences be their ruin or will they be the secret ingredient to each other’s success?"

You Deserve Each Other.

I wanted a book with a more mature drama, and the truth is that I really liked this book. I had never read a book with such a story and the truth is that it was quite amusement. I liked that I came to love the characters little by little and I really really enjoy second-chance love stories. The story had its funny and dramatic parts.I loved that it was shown that not all relationships are perfect, that there are ups and downs, but that problems do not define the relationship. I really liked to see the transition from love to hate and from hate to love. The jokes that were made between the characters were very funny and when Naomi and Nick realized that there is still love between them, my heart was happy. I had never read a book with such a story and the truth is that it was quite amusing. I really recommend this book if you're looking for a different and special story.

Here is a brief review:

"Naomi Westfield has the perfect fiancé: Nicholas Rose holds doors open for her, remembers her restaurant orders, and comes from the kind of upstanding society family any bride would love to be a part of. They never fight. They're preparing for their lavish wedding that's three months away. And she is miserably and utterly sick of him.

Naomi wants out, but there's a catch: whoever ends the engagement will have to foot the nonrefundable wedding bill. When Naomi discovers that Nicholas, too, has been feigning contentment, the two of them go head-to-head in a battle of pranks, sabotage, and all-out emotional warfare.

But with the countdown looming to the wedding that may or may not come to pass, Naomi finds her resolve slipping. Because now that they have nothing to lose, they're finally being themselves--and having fun with the last person they expect: each other."

Meet Me At Midnight

By : Jessica Pennington

When I saw the cover of this book and read its review I was sure it was going to be the ideal book to read on my summer vacation. As I read it, I didn't love it but I didn't hate it either. It was an entertaining book and it did have its sweet and romantic scenes. I liked the characters but they didn't leave a mark on my heart. I like that the book lists the two POV’s, one from Sidney and the other from Asher. I liked the plot and the jokes that were made between them. The reason why I didn’t love the book was because Sidney's personality, I do not know why, but I am conflicted by the characters who from the beginning expect their love relationship to end because they feel that they are not good or something like that, I really do not like that they do not give their all in their relationship and wait for something to happen to give up and end the relationship. It was an entertaining book, easy to read and if I am satisfied with my search for a book for the summer

Note: With this book I wanted to go to a lake house and have a handsome childhood friend.

Here is a brief review:

"They have a love-hate relationship with summer.

Sidney and Ashershouldhave clicked. Two star swimmers forced to spend their summers on a lake together sounds like the perfect match. But it's the same every year--in between cookouts and boat rides and family-imposed bonfires, Sidney and Asher spend the dog days of summer finding the ultimate ways to prank each other. And now, after their senior year, they're determined to make it the most epic summer yet.  But their plans are thrown in sudden jeopardy when their feud causes their families to be kicked out of their beloved lake houses. Once in their new accommodations, Sidney expects the prank war to continue as usual. But then she gets a note--Meet me at midnight. And Asher has a proposition for her: join forces for one last summer of epic pranks, against a shared enemy--the woman who kicked them out. Their truce should make things simpler, but six years of tormenting one another isn't so easy to ignore. Kind of like the undeniable attraction growing between them."

It Sounded Better In My Head

By: Nina Kenwood

I'm not entirely sure why, but I really liked this book. It is not a book with a romantic movie story, but I liked reading Natalie's personality. I liked reading a more realistic story, where the main character has doubts about things that I also have, I liked reading a story where not everything is perfect and the couple is happy forever. I liked that Natalie was afraid of how to act in the sense of boyfriends and that topic, I feel that many girls ask ourselves these questions and we are afraid of knowing how to act, I liked reading a book where I could identify with the character. I also appreciated that Natalie showed her insecurities about her body, since I feel that several of us suffer with this as well and I liked seeing the outcome of the image she has of herself. I also liked Alex's personality, it was very sweet. It is a short, easy to read and entertaining book. I think it is the first time that I read a book where the main character shows her insecurities and fears and how she comes to face them. I highly recommend this book.

Here is a brief review:

"When her parents announce their impending divorce, Natalie can’t understand why no one is fighting, or at least mildly upset. Then Zach and Lucy, her two best friends, hook up, leaving her feeling slightly miffed and decidedly awkward. She’d always imagined she would end up with Zach one day―in the version of her life that played out like a TV show, with just the right amount of banter, pining, and meaningful looks. Now everything has changed, and nothing is quite making sense. Until an unexpected romance comes along and shakes things up even further.”

The Switch

by: Beth O’Leary

I love this book, it will be one of my favorites of the year. I loved the story and completely loved the character Eileen, she gave me a lot of tenderness and made me laugh in many chapters. I had never read a story where the two points of view of female characters were narrated, normally it is one of the female character and the other of a male character. I really liked the story and enjoyed seeing what Leena's and Eileen's experiences were like, how they learned new things and found new things about themselves. All the secondary characters I loved, there were some exceptions, but I really liked reading this book and it gave me another perspective on older people.I loved reading how Eileen learned things when she was young and how Leena learned new things about herself, I really highly recommend this book, it is one of those books that leave a mark.

Note:I think I've never been so envious of a character, I really wish I could get to have Eileen's life.

Here is a brief review:

"Leena is too young to feel stuck. Eileen is too old to start over. Maybe it's time for The Switch... Ordered to take a two-month sabbatical after blowing a big presentation at work, Leena escapes to her grandmother Eileen's house for some overdue rest. Newly single and about to turn eighty, Eileen would like a second chance at love. But her tiny Yorkshire village doesn't offer many eligible gentlemen... So Leena proposes a solution: a two-month swap. Eileen can live in London and look for love, and L Leena will look after everything in rural Yorkshire.

But with a rabble of unruly OAPs to contend with, as well as the annoyingly perfect - and distractingly handsome - local schoolteacher, Leena learns that switching lives isn't straightforward. Back in London, Eileen is a huge hit with her new neighbours, and with the online dating scene. But is her perfect match nearer to home than she first thought?"

The Tourist Attraction

By: Sarah Morgenthaler.

When I saw the cover of this book, I knew I had to read it. It was an entertaining book, it left me satisfied in my search for books for the summer. I liked the characters, the romantic story, and the plot. There were chapters that made me laugh and were chapters where my heart fluttered for the romantic moments between the characters. The story may be a bit of a cliche, the nerdy girl and the strong man who doesn't believe in love, but let's be honest, we all love cliche stories a bit. I loved the atmosphere of the book, Moose Spring, I loved the description of the town and all the inhabitants. I also loved Graham's restaurant, it was really funny.

If you are looking for a book that is light, fun and with romance, this is your ideal book.

Note: With this book I wanted to go Alaska and take a selfie with a moose.

Here is a brief review:

"He had a strict "no tourists" policy... Until she broke all of his rules. When Graham Barnett named his diner The Tourist Trap, he meant it as a joke. Now he's stuck slinging reindeer dogs to an endless parade of resort visitors who couldn't interest him less. Not even the sweet, enthusiastic tourist in the corner who blushes every time he looks her way...

Two weeks in Alaska isn't just the top item on Zoey Caldwell's bucket list. It's the whole bucket. One look at the mountain town of Moose Springs and she's smitten. But when an act of kindness brings Zoey into Graham's world, she may just find there's more to the grumpy local than meets the eye...and more to love in Moose Springs than just the Alaskan wilderness."

We Just Clicked

By: Anna Bell

I have mixed feelings with this book, I liked it, but I did not love it. I liked that the book was a bit about current trends, like being an influencer and all that, I liked reading a little about life and the work that being an influencer implies, it was something new. I also liked the characters and enjoyed watching the plot unfold. I think the reason why I did not get to love the book was because I wasn’t happy with the relation to the love theme, I feel that the relationship was a little slow and left my heart unhappy, I expected a little more in that regard. Otherwise, I liked it and it entertained me, I finished it in a couple of days and kept me distracted. If you like books with more current topics, with things to do with social media and entertainment, this book is ideal for you.

Note: Thanks to this book, I began to take my Instagram profile more seriously and I put more effort into the insta stories that I upload.

Here is a brief review:

By The Book

By: Amanda Sellet

I really enjoyed this book, I really liked it. I feel like I was able to identify a little with Mary, a book worm who is still waiting for a boy similar to the characters in the books. I like books where more characters appear and their personalities are described and this book fulfilled this characteristic, I loved the group of friends she meets and the friendship that is created between them. I was satisfied in the romantic sense, the relationship became very cute and my heart was happy.I loved that classic books were mentioned and related to current situations. I feel like this book talks a little bit about new beginnings, finding yourself, learning to trust other people, new friends, and most of all, I love that the book show that being a book worm has its advantages. Although I really liked this book, it also had its downside. I didn't really like Mary giving up, I wish she would have stuck up for herself a little bit more and would take more risks. This was a book that made me feel a lot of emotions, and that's why it was a special book. If you’re a book worm like me, you will love this book, I highly recommend it.

Note: With this book, my hope to find a boy similar to literary characters grew. There is still hope for me!!

Here is a brief review:

"Mary Porter-Malcolm has prepared for high school in the one way she knows how: an extensive review of classic literature to help navigate the friendships, romantic liaisons, and overall drama she has come to expect from such an "esteemed" institution. When some new friends seem in danger of falling for the same tricks employed since the days of Austen and Tolstoy, Mary swoops in to create the Scoundrel Survival Guide, using archetypes of literature's debonair bad boys to signal red flags. But despite her best efforts, she soon finds herself unable to listen to her own good advice and falling for a supposed cad--the same one she warned her friends away from. Without a convenient rain-swept moor to flee to, Mary is forced to admit that real life doesn't follow the same rules as fiction and that if she wants a happy ending, she's going to have to write it herself."

The Trouble with Hating You

This book which a pleasant surprise, honestly, I decided to read this book because I was bored and needed a light and fun book. This book met the specifications I was looking for and left me happy. This book was different and fun, I liked the characters and it was a book that made me feel different emotions. As I read the synopsis, I thought it was going to be a cliche story, but it was not, I liked Liya's personality and that her past made her stronger, I have read very few books that talk about the subject that Liya suffered as a child And I like to read the perspective of someone who suffered from it and how she dealt with it (I don’t say the subject because I don’t want to give spoilers). I also enjoyed reading Jay's personality, I liked him very much and ultimately I was envious of Liya for getting a man like him. Lastly, I liked reading about Liya's culture, it was interesting and I learned many new things. This is one of those books to read in an armchair, with a coffee or eating ice cream and without any worries.

Here is a brief review:

"Liya Thakkar is a successful biochemical engineer, takeout enthusiast, and happily single woman. The moment she realizes her parents' latest dinner party is a setup with the man they want her to marry, she's out the back door in a flash. Imagine her surprise when the same guy shows up at her office a week later -- the new lawyer hired to save her struggling company. What's not surprising: he's not too thrilled to see her either after that humiliating fiasco.

Jay Shah looks good on paper...and off. Especially if you like that whole gorgeous, charming lawyer-in-a-good-suit thing. He's also infuriating. As their witty office banter turns into late-night chats, Liya starts to think he might be the one man who truly accepts her. But falling for each other means exposing their painful pasts. Will Liya keep running, or will she finally give love a real chance?"

Beach Read

By: Emily Henry

I've been waiting for this book for several months, I was really looking forward to read it. It was not what I expected, I do not dislike but I did not love it either. The story is interesting and has its romantic chapters. The plot was intriguing but it left me with many questions, the truth, I did not feel that the book finished, I expected a surprise ending, where all the doubts of January would be answered, but it did not happen. When reading the synopsis, I thought that this would be the book of the year, that would leave me with the feeling to read it again and again. Actually I was very disappointed in this book in the sense of the romantic relationship of January and Gus; I feel that their relationship was a bit boring and I did not feel that there was that spark, the one that makes me want to have a relationship like that.

I liked reading a book where the characters were writers, I liked reading about their perspective and all the process they go through to start a new book. It was not a bad book, only it did not meet my expectations.

If you are looking for a book that will entertain you in the summer, I recommend this one.
